Final squads announced for ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025
In the weeks leading up to the start of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, each nation has finalized its squad and announced the players who will participate in the competition in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

Here is a full list of the squads on display before the auction starts:
Pakistan final squad:
As the 2017 winners, Pakistan can draw on the experience of some of their heroes.
Together with Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam scored centuries eight years ago in the final.
The pace attack consists of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf, while captain Mohammad Rizwan is missing rising star Saim Ayub through injury.

Bangladesh final squad:
Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead Bangladesh in their bid to gain further success at this year’s ICC Men’s Champions Trophy.
Despite containing Mahmadullah and Mushfiqur Rahim’s vast experience, Shakib Al-Hasan and Litton Das have been left out.
Rishad Hossain struck his first six in T20I cricket and his first seven in ODI cricket on his debut. Nahid Rana is Bangladesh’s fastest bowler, regularly topping 150kph. The 22-year-olds hope to make a big impact on the game.

India final squad:
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are two of the eight players in India’s squad who were instrumental in the team’s success at the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, the most recent ICC global event.
They are without Jasprit Bumrah, a late withdrawal due to back injuries. He has been replaced by Harshit Rana, 22, who made his ODI debut against England earlier this year and helped Kolkata Knight Riders win the IPL last year with 19 wickets.
India’s seam artillery also includes Mohammed Shami, who finished with 24 wickets at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
Team members are: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakaravarthy.
New Zealand final squad:
For the first time at an ICC event, Mitchell Santer is the captain, and he has some fresh faces in his side and attack.
Will O’Rourke, Nathan Smith, and Ben Sears are among those hoping to impress now that Tim Southee and Trent Boult have stepped down – they will be competing with seasoned veterans Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson.
There is an experienced batting line-up led by Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, and Rachin Ravindra, who scored 578 runs at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

Afghanistan final squad:
Defending champions Afghanistan had to make an eleventh-hour change to their squad when spinner AM Ghazanfar suffered a back injury, prompting Nangyal Kharoti to be called up.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman is also absent, but Rashid Khan, who reached 100 ODI wickets in 43 games, a record at the time, is included.
Zadran, who scored 87 runs against Pakistan in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, and then an unbeaten 129 against Australia, strengthens a batting line-up that also includes Rahmanallah Gurbaz.
Team members are:Hashmatullah Shahidi (c), Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Sediqullah Atal, Rahmat Shah, Ikram Alikhil, Gulbadin Naib, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Nangyal Kharoti, Noor Ahmad, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Farid Malik, Naveed Zadran.
Australia final squad:
The Australian team is missing several household names, including Mitchell Starc and Marcus Stoinis, who have retired from ODI cricket. Also absent is Pat Cummins due to an ankle injury, Josh Hazelwood due to a hip injury, Mitchell Marsh with a back injury, and Mitchell Starc (personal reasons).
While Adam Zampa will be supported by Aaron Hardie, Sean Abbott, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis and Spencer Johnson, spinner Tanveer Sangha will fill the seam void.
It will be Steve Smith who captains Australia in Cummins’ absence, batting alongside Travis Head, who scored 137 in Australia’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final victory over India.

England final squad:
The England cricket team, led by Jos Buttler, has called up Tom Banton to its 15-man squad. A 26-year-old who has scored two ILT20 centuries in the UAE replaces Jacob Bethell, who is injured.
Joe Root is also in the squad, having not played in the 50-over format since the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. As a third-time participant, he will join Buttler, Adil Rashid, and Mark Wood in the tournament.
Several Surrey players, including speed merchant Jofra Archer, made explosive starts to their Test careers in 2024.

South Africa final squad:
Anrich Nortje withdrew from the Proteas due to a back injury, and Corbin Bosch was named as his replacement.
Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, David Miller, and Heinrich Klaasen will form a hard-hitting middle order, alongside Temba Bavuma who will captain and open. Tony de Zorzi and Ryan Rickelton will bat with him, and Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, David Miller, and Heinrich Klaasen will bat after him.
With Kagiso Rabada leading the pace attack, Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi providing spin options.
